Copy Editing & Proofreading (50-100k)

Copy editors correct problems of grammar, repetition, word usage, clarity, flow, and jargon. They will help with fact-checking, rewriting, and will provide suggestions for word choice. They can also provide feedback on overall style.

Proofreading is the final check. Even if the previous work has been done well, we will look over the minor errors such as punctuation and spelling. This is an entirely technical task, and has nothing to do with the quality of the story, the characterization or the work’s structure. It is what you do with your manuscript once you’ve written its final draft.
