We’ll introduce you to our communication system and your author portal where your files will be uploaded and stored. We’ll set up a dedicated online chat channel where you can get in touch with us at any time.
We’ll send you the link to fill out a questionnaire about all the main decisions to take in designing your book interior and cover.
We’ll guide you with purchasing your ISBN (International Standard Book Number). You will need one number for each format of your book: paperback, hardcover, eBook, audiobook, etc.
You’ll upload your manuscript and any other files that we need to complete your book design.
The designer will review your material and questionnaire and create concepts for you to review for both your book interior and cover. You’ll have a consultation via email with our designer to discuss the design concept. Following the consult, a second round of concepts will be created if needed, and your book interior and cover will be finalised.
Once you approve an interior layout style,your entire text will be formatted. You will receive a PDF of your formatted text to review
If any corrections are needed to your book, such as a typo you missed in editing, you will be asked to use our Correction Request Form. We will apply the corrections to your formatted manuscript and send a new PDF to review.
This is the only moment corrections can be submitted; requests of corrections to the text cannot be submitted before or after this phase.
When your book interior is approved (and the final page count is known), your full cover spread with the front, back and spine will be set to your printer’s requirements.
We’ll convert your book into the ePub and MOBI eBook file formats. We will also test your eBook on various eBook readers to make sure it works and looks good across different devices.
If you initially paid a deposit, the remaining payment must happen before the next stage – the delivery of the final files.
Now that the book and eBook files are completed and quality-tested (interior, covers and ePub and MOBI conversions), the files will be delivered on the customer portal where they will be stored and will be available for you to download at any time, even after the book has been published as long as you’ll have an account with us.
You can now upload your book files on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark or any other distribution and/or Print On Demand platform. We have prepared tutorials that will make the upload process very simple. If you are facing any issue with the upload and you prefer to delegate to us the managing of uploads and publication of your book, you can buy the upload service here.
Once the book is uploaded on KDP and/or Ingram, you can avail of their printing services, which are the lowest priced in the industry, and order the copies you want for your book launch. Your book can now be distributed all over the world and can be ordered in almost any bookshop
You are finally an independent author and publisher cashing 100% of the royalties from your book!
Notes:
Any situation that is leading to an addition of working hours for the designer is subject to additional costs.
The text revision after proofreading is intended to be 1 revision, 1 cycle. A cycle means that a new file with corrections has been provided by the author to be applied to the book. Any additional cycle will be charged separately for 60 euro each.
The creation of the final design will require between 6 and 8 weeks in the best cases.
